Our Team
Chickadee Pediatrics and Dermatology is a friendly paediatric and pediatric dermatology office in south-central Edmonton. Our pediatricians are all certified members of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. One of them has also completed a board-certified fellowship in pediatric dermatology. Our pediatricians take pride in providing comprehensive family-centred care to children from birth to 18 years of age. Our professional office staff is dedicated to providing a caring, positive experience for children and families.
Dr. Don McConnell MD, FRCPC, Pediatrics, Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology, Associate Clinic Professor at U of A
Dr. McConnell spent 15 years working as Pediatric Emergency Doctor in Halifax and Edmonton. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology in Phoenix, Arizona.
Outside of work he enjoys sailing, golfing, tennis and spending time with his three kids. You may even see Dr. McConnell around town in our local hockey and lacrosse arenas.
Dr. Moses Abobo, MD, FRCPC, Pediatrics
Dr. Abobo was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Toronto medical school and completed his residency in General Pediatrics at the University of Alberta.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, and travelling.
Dr. Joel Semeniuk, MD, FRCPC, Pediatrics
Dr. Semeniuk was born and raised in Edmonton. He completed medical school and a general pediatrics residency at the University of Alberta. He is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Semeniuk is also a husband, father, cyclist, and runner.
Jennifer Lunt, LPN
Jennifer is an awesome nurse who works directly with Dr. McConnell. She is extremely educated and experienced in pediatrics but has particular expertise in pediatric dermatology. First-time patients will often see Jennifer before seeing Dr. McConnell. She has a very friendly, quirky (in a good way) approach to pediatric dermatology patients.
